We are excited to announce the release of a highly anticipated debut album by Streetwalker on our sublabel Cititrax. Originally hailing from Chicago, the duo consists of Beau Wanzer (Mutant Beat Dance) and Elon Katz (White Car). Together they sync machine rhythms of the mid-west with the avant-garde of early European electronics, to make a uniquely dirty thump. Influenced by a range of music – from Chicago house to primitive industrial – the six songs on Future Fusion were all recorded ‘live’ in one take to 1 inch tape, with no overdubs and no midi. All the synthesizers and drum machines were run through amplifiers. Finally, the selections were beautifully mastered for vinyl. The entire process has taken some time and the resulting sound is stunning. The album is pressed on 160 gram vinyl housed in a matte printed sleeve with artwork by Spencer Longo. Limited to 999 copies, the release will be available in early February 2013. Sound samples linked below.
